During the cooler months I really love making soups, but live with some pretty picky eaters. There is one dish that is a ‘never fail’ in this house: pizza. Homemade pizza, store bought pizza, delivered pizza it is always a hit. Finding a recipe that would make everyone happy was pretty simple once I thought about that!
Creating this Pepperoni Pizza Soup was so easy and it was so good it was devoured in no time flat. A perfectly seasoned tomato soup base with mini pepperoni and loads of Parmesan cheese make this our perfect pizza soup. Stir in your favorite toppings to make it your favorite pizza soup, but around here Munchkin is a pepperoni pizza fan.
I would love some ground beef, onion and black olives too. Imagine the possibilities with this Pepperoni Pizza Soup that goes from prep to plate in just 30 minutes. How will you make it your favorite?

30-Minute Pepperoni Pizza Soup in Bread Bowls
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes with roasted garlic
- 4 cups water
- 2 Tbsp low sodium chicken base
- 3 Tbsp tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp diced sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil)
- 2 Tbsp dried Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 (5 oz) package mini pepperoni
- 4 oz fresh shredded Parmesan cheese
- (optional garnish) shredded mozzarella
- (optional) store bought or homemade bread bowls
Combine the first 8 ingredients in an 8 qt pot over medium high heat. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil.
Add pepperoni (reserve a few for garnish if desired). Stir. Reduce to medium heat and boil for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.
Meanwhile: Cut a 3” circle in the top of bread bowls. Remove most of bread inside.
Pour soup into bread bowl.
Garnish with a pinch of mozzarella cheese.
Serve and enjoy.
