Your pup deserves the best, right? So bake him a wholesome snack from the newly revised and expanded Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook by the people behind the Bubba Rose Biscuit Company. The authors recommend using organic ingredients in the recipes wherever possible (but you can substitute conventional ingredients). Plus, none of the recipes in the Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook use wheat, corn, or soy, which are three of the most common sources of food allergies in dogs.

6-Ingredient Organic Liver & Bacon Dog Biscuits
- ½ lb. raw beef or chicken livers
- 6 slices cooked bacon
- 1½ c. oat flour
- 1½ c. brown rice flour
- 1 c. oat bran
- 1 egg
- ½ c. water
Preheat oven to 375°.
Puree livers in a food processor.
Grind bacon into fine pieces in a food processor. Immediately clean the food processor afterwards—you definitely don’t want either of these pulverized meats drying in your appliance. Cleaning this up if they do is not easy.
Combine all ingredients (except the water) together.
Add water slowly and mix until a dough forms (if too dry, add more water, too wet, add a bit more flour). You may not need all the water if you reach a good consistency first.
Roll out on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thickness.
Use a cookie cutter (or a knife) to cut into shapes.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (for easy cleanup), and place the cookies on the sheet (they can be rather close together as they don’t grow much while cooking).
Bake 22-27 minutes or until golden brown.
Transfer and let cool completely on a wire rack.
Store the cookie in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
For crispier treats, do not take them out of the oven to cool. Turn the oven off and let them sit in there overnight. Store in the refrigerator
