Orange and Onion Salad with Blue Cheese and Bourbon Dressing
- ¼ cup blue cheese
- ½ cup salad oil
- 2 Tbsp wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp bourbon
- ¼ tsp sugar
- Dash of garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp minced chives
- 12 leaves Kentucky limestone bibb lettuce
- 3 large navel oranges
- ½ medium-size sweet onion, sliced thin or in a small dice
Mix blue cheese, salad oil, vinegar, bourbon, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and chives until well-combined.
Toss onions and oranges slices; coat well with dressing. Place mixture atop three leaves of lettuce; serve.
